Abstract:

We study communication over multiple access channels (MAC) where one of the users is possibly adversarial. We have a sequence of three works on Byzantine Multiple Access channels. We give a general overview of all the three models.

Biography:

Neha is a fifth year PhD student in the School of Technology and Computer Science (STCS), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, advised by Prof. Vinod Prabhakaran. Her research interests lie in information theory and its applications to various other areas. During her PhD research, her work has mostly focused on communication over networks where some of the nodes can be malicious. She is also interested in using techniques from information theory for machine learning problems. Neha Sangwan won the Jack Keil Wolf best student paper award at ISIT 2022 conference for her paper "Consensus Capacity of Noisy Broadcast Channels", co-authored with Varun Narayanan, and Vinod M. Prabhakaran.
