As part of the Bavarian 6G Initiative, the 5th Thinknet 6G Summit has been organized by Bayern Innovativ in Nuremberg, Germany, from October 28 - 29, 2025. Together with Peter Merz from Nokia, Prof. Wolfgang Kellerer is Speaker of Thinknet 6G and has been active in the organization of this successful two day event. The 6G Summit has featured a number plenary session on selected 6G topics and 6G projects in Bavaria, Germany and Europe, presentations by high-ranked representatives of the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), Frau Dr. Paetz, and the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy (StMWi), Herr Dr. Wittmann, focus sessions on microelectronics and quantum communications, student poster competition, startup pitches and panel discussions. Practical results of 6G research could be exlored via a high number of demonstrations by research projects, industry, academia and research institutes on both days. There has been plenty of room for networking during coffee breaks, lunches and dinner.
