Biography

Cristian Bermudez Serna obtained his bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering at Universidad de Antioquia (UdeA), Colombia in December 2016. During his undergraduate studies, he received a scholarship granted by the DAAD and focused on topics of Computer Networking and Software Defined Radio. After two years in the industry, Cristian joined the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and obtained his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in August 2021. During his master studies, Cristian was involved in projects at Siemens and Huawei on topics related to Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Programmable Data Planes. In his master thesis, he worked on virtualization mechanisms for Time Sensitive Networking (TSN). Cristian joined the Chair of Communication Networks (LKN) in October 2021, where he is currently working as a research associate. At LKN he is involved in the AI-NET ANTILLAS project and his research interest lies in mechanisms for efficient detection and handling of network reconfigurations in mobility scenarios.
