Objectives
After participating the lab, the students are able to acquire various digital media elements and to synchronize, to link and to arrange them in an overall presentation.
Description
The focus of the Multimedia Lab lies on the realization of multimedia applications on smartphones through Android programming. At the beginning of the semester, the basic knowledge of Android programming (based on online courses) will be attained in weekly lab-sessions. During the term project, the participants have the possibility to create their own application in team work.

Teaching and learning methods
In addition to individual self-studying methods, the students will have a better programming knowledge through the practical tasks in the lab, combined with multiple introductions from the supervisors in the beginning of the lab.
Examination
The type of the examination is adapted to different learning results. The examination consists of the following components:
- Weekly programming tasks
- Term project: concept design and implementation of the Android application
- Final presentation
The final grade consists of the following components:
- 100% term project: realization of the concept and final presentation
The weekly programming tests must be graded with "pass"
