Vlad-Costin Andrei, M.Sc.

Biography

After receiving my Bachelors and Master degrees from TUM in 2019 and 2021, I joined the ACES Lab of the Chair of Theoretical Information Technology in late 2021. Before that, I worked for about in 3.5 years in the aerospace and defense industry, first as a working student, then as a research engineer, where I focused on deep learning for radio-frequency signal processing and its deployment. I have won the Best Paper Award at the 3rd IEEE Symposium on Joint Communications and Sensing 2023.

My research at ACES Lab lies at the intersection between theory and practice and comprises following aspects, which are part of the 6G-life and 6G Future Lab projects:

  1. MIMO-OFDM Transceiver Design for Joint Communications and Sensing
  2. Resilience and Security Enhancement with Joint Communications and Sensing
  3. Distributed Indoor Positioning and Navigation in Current and Future Networks
  4. Sustainable and Energy-Efficient Deep Learning for the PHY Layer with Neuromorphic Hardware
  5. Digital Twins
