Der mit 500 Euro dotierte Preis ist nach dem 2009 verstorbenen TUM-Ordinarius für Nachrichtentechnik Ralf Kötter benannt. The Rate-X Transceiver of Georg Böcherer, Patrick Schulte, and Fabian Steiner was selected for the final round of the Bell Labs Prize 2015. Our work Experimental Demonstration of Capacity Increase and Rate-Adaptation by Probabilistically Shaped 64-QAM was accepted as a postdeadline paper at the peer-reviewed European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC).
