Im MCQST Exzellenzcluster arbeiten wir an Fragen der Quantenkommunikation, der Quanteninformationstheorie und unser Blick richtet sich auf Modelle zum analogen Quantum-Computing und zum Turing Quantum-Computing.

In den Bereichen Quantenkommunikation und Quanteninformationstheorie interessiert uns:

  • Charakterisierung von Kanalkapazitäten für Übertragung von Quanteninformation mit und ohne Angreifern
  • Rolle der Verschränkung (Entanglement) für klassische und Quantenkommunikation
  • Leistung mit endlicher Blocklänge für Kommunikationsprotokolle

In dem Artikel von Frank Fitzek und Holger Boche wurden die zentralen Anforderungen an 6G Kommunikationssysteme und Bezeichnungen zur Quanten Kommunikation diskutiert. Holger Boche hat in seinem MCQST-Vortrag bereits die Performance Anforderungen an Quanten Kommunikationssysteme diskutiert, die sich aus der Entwicklung von 6G Kommunikationssystemen ergeben. Unser Lehrstuhl für Theoretische Informationstechnik an der TU München arbeitet in MCQST aktiv an Grundlagenfragen zur Entwicklung von Quanten Kommunikationssystemen als Bestandteil zukünftiger öffentlicher Kommunikationsnetze.
