Onur Günlü won the 1st prize in the competition ''Hands-On Project Digital Society'', a competition sponsored by the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation, DAAD, the Goethe Institute, the German Centre for International Migration (CIM), and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Onur was part of the team "Digitizer" whose project was entitled "Profit optimization through enterprise collaboration using digital media". Onur provided the problem definition and solution: he used basic source coding methods to define a thresholding approach. For more information, please see:
