Walter Gademann Master's Thesis Award for Rana Ali Amjad

Rana Ali Amjad will be awarded the Walter Gademann Preis of the Fakultät für Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik for his outstanding Master's thesis. The prize will be awarded at the Tag der Fakultät on Nov. 7. The topic of Ali's thesis was developing algorithms to transform a given random process to another random process with desirable properties. His algorithms apply to a wide variety of data science problems, including data compression, energy-efficient communication, and secure (secret and covert) data transmission.
