About
Liam Bansbach is an M.Sc. student in Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He holds a B.Eng. in Automotive Engineering from Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, where he focused on autonomous driving, vehicle dynamics, and mechatronics.
At the ATARI Lab, he contributed to the development of reinforcement learning-based locomotion policies for the bipedal Dodo robot using the Genesis physics simulator. His research interests lie in learning-based navigation and locomotion, as well as semantic scene understanding. He is currently pursuing his master’s thesis on improving local navigation policies for mobile robots in dynamic healthcare environments through semantic reasoning.
