Objectives

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to: • Explain FPGA architecture and design flow • Use FPGA design tools • Design basic signal processing systems on FPGAs • Implement convolutional neural network systems on FPGA

Description

FPGA Information Processing Systems This course is focused on signal processing and neural network implementations on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays). It covers FPGA designs of digital filters, Fourier transformation, JPEG decoding, fast convolution, Kalman filter and Viterbi decoding. In addition, circuit design techniques commonly used in signal processing and neural networks, such as pipelining, parallel processing, folding, unfolding and systolic array, are included. NOTE: Lecture starts in June
