Nico is a research assistant at the chair of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Real-time Systems (I6). He joined the group in December 2020.
In 2018 he finished his B.Sc. degree in Physics at the Ludwig-Maximilians University (LMU). During his bachlor studies he focused on machine learning in particle physics and spent a semester at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. After working in the Information Field Theory Group at the Max Planck Institut for Astrophysics, he recieved his master's degree in Physics from the LMU in 2020.
Besides his physics background he has a strong intereset in machine learning, Bayesian statistics and computional neuroscience. As part of the KI-ASIC project his research is currently focused on the development of Spiking Neural Network applications.
