Prof. Ulf Schlichtmann has combined scientific excellence, extraordinary dedication in academic teaching, as well as interdisciplinary and interdepartmental initiatives over a long period. With the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz-Medal 2012, the Technische Universitaet Muenchen honors the unfailing and loyal work of Ulf Schlichtmann in the development of international study programs, particularly at TUM Asia in Singapore, and his initiative and support to establish the research basis „Electromobility for Mega Cities“ at TUM.CREATE in Singapore.

The Heinz Maier-Leibnitz-Medal is the highest academic award of the Technische Universitaet Muenchen, dedicated to honor extraordinary scientific, technical or medical achievements of outstanding teachers and researchers in service of the TUM.
