Research

In Computer Engineering, we consistently pursue an interdisciplinary, holistic approach. Our work ranges from investigating individual effects to the automated design of complex technical systems. Here, modeling, methodologically sound exploration of the solution space, and implementation are always closely linked.

An essential feature of the tasks in Computer Engineering is the scalability of solutions and systems – this applies to highly integrated circuits, software architecture and complex, networked infrastructures alike. The necessary range of methodologies in Computer Engineering – itself a field of the Engineering Sciences – is highly interdisciplinary in nature, encompassing numerous aspects of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics.
