Short Bio
Daniele Bernardini received the M.Sc. degree in theoretical physics from the University of Florence, in 1997. Since 2022, he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the School of Computation, Information and Technology, Technical University of Munich (TUM), beside his role with the School of Engineering and in the startup. After graduation, he spent two more years as a Researcher with Ludwig Maximilians University Munich, before transitioning to the industry, where he gained more than 20 years of experience in software development and data science. In 2021, he joined the School of Engineering and Design of the TUM as a Research Group Leader, where he focused on advancing perception for robotic manipulation. Since 2021, he has been the Co-Founder and the CEO of Cognivix, a startup specializing in automation solutions for industries requiring high-variability and low-volume production.
