Tayyab Mehmood received the B.Sc. degree in the field of telecommunication engineering from the Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB), Pakistan, in 2014, and the M.Sc. degree in the area of optical signal processing for radio over fiber systems from the National University of Science & Technology (SEECS, NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2016.
He is currently pursuing Ph.D. degree with the Department of Photonics Engineering, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark, under the supervision of Prof. S. Forchhammer, Prof. G. Kramer, and Dr. M. P. Yankov. His current research interests include coding, modulation, and optical communication systems. He held a research associate position at the Department of Optical Engineering, Sejong University, Seoul, from 2017 to 2018, and a lecturer position at the GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Pakistan, in 2018.
Mr. Mehmood was the recipient of the Presidential Gold Medal in 2014 for securing overall 1st position in bachelor’s program, and he was awarded with merit scholarship in Bachelor and Master studies.
