Holger Boche, Luis Torres-Figueroa, and Johannes Voichtleitner from the Advanced Communications and Embedded Security (ACES) Lab of the Chair of Theoretical Information Technology at TU München presented a live demonstrator of Semantic Physical Layer Security using Software Defined Radios at the BMBF National Conference on IT Security Research in Berlin on March 13-15, 2023.

During the visit of BMBF State Secretary Mario Brandenburg to our booth, we demonstrated how such approach enables future-proof systems against post-quantum attacks.

This was demonstrated experimentally for the first time worldwide at the [IEEE Globecom Conference 2021], and embedded in a 5G NR system with negligible latency overhead, as presented at the IEEE Globecom Conference 2022.

The demonstrator was developed within the BMBF projects NewCom and 6G-life.
