Biography
Patrick Krämer completed his Bachelor of Science in the course Applied Computer Science at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart in September 2014. His bachelor studies were in corporation with the Hewlett-Packard Company. He continued his studies at the Technical University Munich (TUM), and graduated as Master of Science in April 2017. Since then, he works as teaching and research associate at the Chair of Communication Networks at the TUM. He is currently pursuing his PhD as a member of the software-defined networking and network virtualization research group. His research is focused an the application of machine learning for network security, network function virtualization and resource allocation in virtualized environments.
Research
- Reinforcement Learning
- Probabilistic Inference
- Energy Based Models
- Software Defined Networking
- Network Virtualization
In his research Patrick investigates how Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Virtualization can be leveraged to incorporate techniques from Artificial Intelligence into network management and operation. His goal is to contribute towards self managing networks that do not rely on human made heuristics, but instead learn how to best run themselves.
