IT Specialist for System Administration and Software Development.

The Chair of Information-oriented Control and the Chair of Automatic Control Engineering are engaged in the control of dynamic systems with applications in robotics. We are jointly seeking a dedicated IT specialist to support our computer network and assist in software development within our research projects as soon as possible. Your Tasks:

  • Responsibility for administration and maintenance of the IT infrastructure using various operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Supporting the team in setting up and utilizing computers and software solutions.
  • Customizing systems for specific research projects and requirements.
  • Selecting and procuring necessary hardware in consultation with the team.
  • Proactively advising and supporting the scientific staff in software development and maintenance.

Your Profile:

  • Experience in system administration and/or software development.
  • A completed degree in a technical field or equivalent qualification, such as vocational training as an IT specialist with relevant additional qualifications.
  • Good written and spoken English skills for an international research environment.
  • A strong interest in contributing to current research projects.
  • An independent, conscientious, and proactive work approach.
