About
Cormac Kinsella is a doctoral candidate at the Chair of Applied Numerical Analysis at the Technical University of Munich, supervised by Professor Massimo Fornasier, and a member of the ATARI Lab. He obtained his BSc in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin in 2023 and his MSc in Mathematics and Informatics from the Technical University of Munich in 2026. His research focuses on consensus-based optimisation and its application to high-dimensional problems in robotics. He is particularly interested in diverse scene generation: given a scene, finding one example of every distinct way its objects can come to rest.
